Important Information

Please read these notices before your child starts nursery:
  • If your child is absent due to illness, please contact the school on 01254 231725 and leave a message or notify the school via the WEDUC app.
  • Nursery closes for part time sessions at 12:00 (morning sessions), and 15:45 (afternoon sessions). Please be on time – in the event of you running late please contact nursery. If parents/guardians are continuously late then there will be a charge.
  • Important announcements (such as school closing due to bad weather) will be made via the front page of this website, our Facebook page and our app.
  • All children are entitled to free milk at snack time.
  • We ask for a voluntary contribution of £10 per term per child, collected at the start of each term. This money is used to provide a healthy snack, baking ingredients, extra resources and contributes towards special events.
  • Please place name-tags in all your child’s clothes.
  • Smoking and dogs are NOT permitted anywhere within the nursery grounds, and we ask that you please refrain from smoking (this includes e-cigarettes) around the entrance ways to the grounds.
  • Parents MUST close the gate behind them when entering and exiting the school grounds – this is for the safety of the children.
  • Please take extra care when driving and reversing near the school entrances. The road outside of nursery is a one way system.
  • Do not park on the yellow lines outside of nursery, this is monitored by office staff and doing so will result in a fine.
  • If your child is attending a full day at nursery, then please send your child with a packed lunch as we do not have the facilities to provide lunches on our premises.
  • The school is committed to a healthy eating policy, so lunches need to be healthy.
  • Food items such as grapes, cherries, cocktail sausages (etc.) should be cut in half lengthways to avoid the risk of choking.
  • We are a nut free school, so please do not put food containing nuts in your child’s lunch box (includes peanut butter).
  • We ask parents NOT to bring sweets to nursery as birthday treats.
  • Please inform the nursery staff of any allergies and other health issues that your child may have.
