How to apply for a place, application form & admission criteria

Parents may register their child’s name by completing an application form available from the nursery (or available for download at the bottom of this page) and returning it with a copy of the child’s birth certificate.  Children who are three years of age by 31 August prior to entry at the start of the Autumn Term will be considered for admission.

Completion of the application form does not guarantee admission to the Nursery School. If the Nursery School is oversubscribed then the Nursery Admission Committee meet during the Spring Term and places are allocated using Lancashire County Council’s admission criteria.

We have 24 spaces available in our 2 year old room and 30 spaces in each of our two classrooms.  We can accommodate up to 120 children at our nursery across our age groups.

We have an open door policy for parents to come and look around the nursery school.

If you would like to view the nursery then please contact the office (01254 231725) and speak to a member of staff.

Flexibility

We have limited availability for parents/carers to be able to negotiate using their child’s 15 hours per week in a flexible way.  Please speak to the headteacher/class teacher if you wish to discuss your requirements.

Prior to accepting the offer you should be committed to your child regularly attending.  Places may be withdrawn where attendance is unsatisfactory.
