Welcome to our website!

Dear Parents and Carers,

Week commencing 22nd June, Lancashire County Council advised that Lee Royd Nursery School could start to accept a wider number of children.

We will be open for a limited number of eligible children.

Places have been offered to the oldest children who are due to go to Primary School in September, keyworker children, vulnerable children and children who have Special Educational Needs.

The children returning to school will be placed in groups of no more than 16 following Government guidelines, they will stay with one teacher and one teaching assistant. They will work in one allocated classroom in their own space. We will be encouraging good hygiene and the classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned throughout the day. We will follow all guidance, but it must be accepted that we are working with young children.

Governors made the decision to invite back the 2 year old children and new starters in September. New starter children will be receiving their information packs through the post over the next few weeks.

Please remember we are still accepting applications for September 2020.

Please note that we will be closing for the summer holidays on Friday 17th July. We are awaiting Government guidance for opening in September, we will keep you updated when we receive more information regarding the next academic year.

We appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times.
We have created a support for home learning document which is available on our website, this document contains links to online learning websites that contain suitable activities for children.

This is an unprecedented time when we can feel a range of emotions – both negative and positive. We are all worried about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is affecting our life. This may include having to stay at home and avoid other people or coming into work and supporting vulnerable children and those with critical worker parents.

Thank you for your continued support and updates will be published on the website and on our Facebook page.
